Robert C. Barber, PhD., is the Scientific Manager for TARCC and Associate Professor and Interim Chair in the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Barber earned a PhD in Human Genetics from Texas A&M University in 1997. Since then, his research efforts have focused upon resolving genetic variants and proteomic biomarkers that are associated with a variety of complex human diseases, including defects of neural tube formation and a dysregulated innate immune response to traumatic injury, as well as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Susan Ristine, MS, is the Executive Assistant for TARCC, and comes to us from the Texas Department of State Health Services as the former Alzheimer’s Disease Program Coordinator. Susan has a Master's degree in Education and more than 20 years experience in public health.
