Robert C. Barber, PhD., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology & Neuroscience at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Barber earned a PhD in Human Genetics from Texas A&M University in 1997. Since then, his research efforts have focused upon resolving genetic variants and proteomic biomarkers that are associated with a variety of complex human diseases, including defects of neural tube formation and a dysregulated innate immune response to traumatic injury, as well as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
