Keynote Lecture topic:
“Leveraging precision medicine, AI, and digital health to prevent Alzheimer's disease: Is the future now or near?”

Stephen Waring, PhD (Essentia Institute of Rural Health) Bio: Stephen Waring, DVM, PhD, is the principal scientist at Essentia Institute of Rural Health in Duluth, Minnesota. He has conducted multidisciplinary epidemiologic studies from large integrated research databases with colleagues at Mayo Clinic, Baylor College of Medicine, and the Texas Alzheimer’s Research and Care Consortium before joining EIRH. His primary focus is on Alzheimer’s and related disorders, precision medicine, and population health in the elderly. His current research includes a multi-center trial to reduce serious fall injuries among the elderly (STRIDE), the All of Us Research Program of the Precision Medicine Initiative, the NIMH funded Mental Health Research Network (MHRN), the NIA funded AGING Initiative, and the University of Minnesota Grand Challenge Precision Medicine and Pharmacogenomics Consortium. Dr. Waring is the immediate past chair of the governing board for the Health Care Systems Research Network (HCSRN), and serves on local, state, and national groups for Alzheimer’s disease and precision medicine.
